Back to talks: Is there a point?

Talks are confirmed for the end of the month in Geneva but is there really a point? The bottomline is that LTTE is not able to exist in a stable environment. In order the survive as an organization that they are, they need to keep up the right balance of instability and peace. So the talks, is only a weight that keeps the scale from tipping over.

True, why even bother talking. Just keep carrying out the offensive until LTTE lay out a concrete plan to disarm and join the political process.

I don't think talks will happen. There is too much fighting going on.
