Dhanapala withdraws

One time hopeful candidate to relpacement the UN Secretary General Koffi Annan, Jayantha Dhanapala has officially withdrawn from the race. It is reported that the withdrawal comes after Dhanapala only managed to secure the 5th place in a straw poll conducted at the UN. Sri Lanka’s Permanent representative to the UN, Prasad Kariyawasam, said the withdrawal will enable the strongest candidate from Asia to be elected for the post. South Korea's Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon is widely expected to replace Kofi Annan in the forth coming elections.

I personally prefer an Indian figure come to this position – so we Indian looking people – won’t treat at poor – idiots – only know how to open a 99c store.
But politically I’m not very sure about how the India fellow will work – or others let him work.
