SLN COMES FORWARD IN RENDERING RELIEF SERVICES TO IDPS

Naval troops in Trincomalee is now rendering an enormous service to Internally Displaced Persons in Mutthur by providing relief supplies and transport facilities. Nearly 1500 displaced persons are now given shelter at Al-Hilal and Arabia Colleges at Mutthur.

SLN troops provide relief work such as providing medical aids, food and all other necessities other than providing transport facilities by ea.

The Majority of IDPs belong to Muslim Community who have been leading humble and simple lives until the LTTE mounted abortive attacks to the civilian homesteads, naval and military deployments.

The LTTE organization had to suffer heavy damages and losses, though they have created havoc for innocent civilians, in those attacks in the past few days.
