SL military in Prabha’s backyard

In a string of daring deep penetration operations, the Sri Lankan military is said to have attacked LTTE targets within miles of where the LTTE chieftain Prabhakaran is said be in hiding. The attacks were conducted in tandem with the air force which has reportedly bombarded LTTE military installation including a major sea tiger base destroying it. The LTTE spokesman denied the attacks had any impact of the rebel organization and claimed the dead were mostly civilians. A foreign diplomat who wishes to be anonymous however, dismissed the reports that the military was intentionally targeting the civilians and said the LTTE is known to accuse the government of killing civilians when under attack. The spokesman for the Sri Lankan military said the all targets have been LTTE installations and that targeting civilians will be counter-productive for the campaign. “The government is fighting to free the Tamil citizens from the tyrannical and brutal regime of the terrorists” said a senior official of the government.

Earlier, TamilNet in an extraordinary turn around from its positive rhetoric conceded the LTTE has lost ground and has suffered heavy casualties. Experts believe this is a desperate call on the pro-LTTE diaspora to support a last ditch effort to revive the battered rebel organization and save the LTTE leadership from capture and prosecution. “The government believes the LTTE’s repeated failure to hold positions it had vowed to defend against Colombo’s military are indicative of the Tigers’ weakness.” TamilNet said in its article titled “Sri Lanka military vows to ‘annihilate’ LTTE in east then north”.

like the lankawatch previous article LTTE has resorted to cowardly acts by bombing a bus full of civilians. The main difference between the LTTE and the SL Government is that killing civilians is part of LTTE's policy. It is obvious government gains nothing by killing civilians.

How can anyone support the LTTE? It's time Tamils and Sinhalese united and defeat terrorism that has plagued Sri Lanka.

""LTTE is as strong as ever and they haven't even started to fight.""

There is a tingling sensation coming from my behind. Oh no wait my arse is laughing.

Not a full scale war?
What was your dipshit eelam army trying to do when they launched offensive into SLA territory in muhamalai and kilali? Were they doing it for the fun of it? They sure did pay a high price (600 suckers dead) if it was for fun and not a full scale offensive.

As strong as ever? Dumbass, your gaylord army is getting the beatdown of the cetury at Vakarai. Your elite Jeyanthan brigade which is supposed to prevent Vakarai from falling, doesnt even know where SLA Special Forces and Deep Penetration units are positioned
inside the so caleld Tamil Eelam Controlled Territory.
