Tiger leadership fear ‘cannibalism’

The closure of A9 and other military embargos have hit the Tiger organization gravely and reports of in-fighting and skirmishes are reported in the Tiger-held areas. The desperate leadership has called on the pro-tiger media such as TamilNet to intensify the inaccurate reports about humanitarian crisis in the country in an attempt to pressure the Sri Lankan government to allow food supplies to the tiger rebels. If the food shortage for the Tiger rebels last, reports indicate possible uprising within the Tigers which may endanger the leadership who are seen by most fellow tigers to enjoy luxuries while the lower ranking members as well as civilians in the Tiger controlled areas are subjected to many hardships.

It is however, true that before the Tigers starve, the innocent civilians will starve.
