Sri Lanka court suspends tsunami aid-sharing deal
Associated Press, Fri 15th July 12:15GMT. Sri Lanka's Supreme Court on Friday placed on hold sections of a vital tsunami aid-sharing deal between the government and the Tamil Tiger rebels.
The court ruled that implementation of certain clauses of the June 24 agreement between the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and the government be suspended until a final court determination, stopping short of declaring the agreement illegal.
