Supreme Court verdict on PTOMS on Friday

The Sri Lankan Supreme Court reserved for Friday, July 15, 2005, the verdict on the plea for stay order on the Post Tsunami Operations Management Structure (PTOMS) between the Government and the Tamil rebels. Addressing the three member bench, leading attorney H. L. de Silva said that under the constitution, the government did not have any right to enter into an agreement with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) until the latter accepts the sovereignty of the country.
