Not for the faint of heart

There is something about this world cup that has turned my life upside down. I am old enough to remember a few world cups, including the one that Sri Lanka went all the way to lift the cup. But ever since the nifty Sri Lankans powered into the 07 world cup semis in the caribbean, I have been a nervous wreck. Fortunately, up until now, Sri Lanka team has performed above par and therefore were not involved in a do-or-die match in order to qualify for the semis. But having made it to the semis they find themselves facing NZ - a team they have already beaten in the super 8 stage - in a their biggest game of tournament. I don't remember being like this during the earlier world cups but tomorrow's match is already taking its toll on my weak heart. Just the thought of seeing Shane Bond bowling to Sanath, sends shivers all the way down to my toes.
