Clash of the Titans

In what could be a dress rehearsal for the final showdown, Sri Lanka will meet Australia today in Grenada. Australian is fielding the full team with the exception of Clark and Watson. Sri Lanka is minus Murali, Vaas and Malinga all rested probably because Sri Lanka has already secured a place in the semi-finals. Regardless, an Australian, Sri Lanka clash is always entertaining.

I don't know why Sri Lanka fielded a weak team. I think it was a bad move. If the players feel like the we fans feel today, then the tournament is over for us.

Definitely a bad move on the part of Sri Lanka.

It will take something unusual to beat Australia. So in all fairness it's good that coach or Mahela did what they did instead of sitting on their asses. I don't know if it is the right or wrong thing to do but hats off for trying. Good luck at the semis and for final.

Well winning isn't everything. Sri Lanka has an obligation to play their best team for their fans. It was a big disappointment for the fans, especially those who went to west indies and those who stayed late to support the team.
