There is much greater danger in this than just attack on a Harbor.
I have my fair share in South. I know how they perform. Southerners are very sensitive to war - Not like Colombo Town people who already well seasoned with LTTE attaches.

If this kind of things keep on continue in South, there may be big social disaster between Tamils and Sinhalese who live peacefully all this time in south. It already started in smaller scale in Gall today.

This is what exactly LTTE want. They want Tamils in south to get hurt by Sinhalese. So they will try to keep on push Sinhalese buttons as hard as they can.

I think this is a good time for Mahinda to address the nation and calm the people down (specially southerners) ] and make them ready for upcoming disasters like this.

Tamils live in south, also have responsibility to show Sri Lanka they are not a part of LTTE and they do not support LTTE ā€“ which they refused to do all this time. That is the correct time for that to happen.

Iā€™m very much scared of a social disaster may starts if LTTE keep on attack in south. All the leaders live in south ā€“ Tamils and Sinhalese - must avoid that with any cost.
