Think before you make your conclusions..

Why do people make their own conclusions that would harm the sovereignty of Sri Lanka? On that note, is there an responsible media out there today? All we see is false propaganda, accusations without any facts out there today.

The people who falsly accuse anybody without any facts, are the most ignorant people around. Once again, after the killing of 10 innocent civilians, some have started to accuse the military? On what grounds do people make these accusations?

IN the past we have seen who was responsible for the killings of innocent civilians? It was non other than the LTTE. Some of the records are given below for your info.

It is know to be the pattern of the LTTE to deny any accusations that come across to them and on top of that, their hardcore supporters and their media wing, the pro-LTTE website that we all know of starts promoting false information.

If we look at the history, we see that the LTTE is responsible for killing innocent civilians. Some of these non of you people will remember even.

1) 67 civilians in a claymore bomb blast targeting a civilian transport bus at Kebitigollewa on 15th June, 2006.
2) On 30th Nov 1984 LTTE launched an attack on Dollar Farm and Kent Farm. 62 Unarmed civilians were brutally killed.
3) On 14 May 1985 LTTE attacked the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Anuradhapura and Killed 120 and wounded 85 civilians.
4) On 17 April 1987, 30-60 LTTE cadres stopped 06 vehicles traveling Trincomalee - Habarana Road, and killed 122 Civilians and wounded 44 others.
5) On 21 April 1987, a car bomb exploded at Pettah Bus Stand killing 110 civilians and injuring 298 others
6) On 02 May 1987, 30 Buddhist monks and 4 civilians shot dead at Arantalawa, Ampara.
7) On 03 August 1990 LTTE terrorists attacked Meera Jumma and Husania Mosques and massacred 103 Muslims and wounded 70.
8) On 11 August 1990 LTTE terrorists killed 116 Muslims at Eravur.
9) On 29 April 1992 Group of 30-40 LTTE Cadres attacked Alichipothan and killed 56 Muslim Civilians and wounded 15 others.
10) On 01 October 1992 LTTE terrorists attacked Palliyagodella Village and Killed 146 Civilians including Children.
11) On 11 November 1996 LTTE exploded two bombs at Slave Island and Killed 19 Civilians.
12) On 31 January 1996 LTTE exploded Central Bank at Colombo Fort and killed 82 Civilians and 100 others injured.
13) 38 dead and 50 injured, in LTTE Terrorist attack at Rajagiriya on 10 March 2000.

This just a very small list of the innocent people the LTTE terrorist have killed in the past.

You want to see more? How about pictures if innocent Massacres that the LTTE has done?

the only one of your list of 'ltte attacks' that i know enough about to comment on is the Kebitigoellewa Bus one - & that was never proven to be carried out by the ltte. we can speculate that it was done by them, because they are the most likely candidate, but we cannot say beyond a shadow of a doubt that they did it.

there have been many examples from over the last 2 decades of brutality at the hands of govt. forces. just because you don't believe them to have a reputation of killing innocent civillians, or believe them to be incapable of commiting such a heinous act such as this, that doesn't make it true; it just means that you are selective about what you want to believe about members of the sri lankan armed forces.

go over to the human rights watch webiste (hrw.org), it has a nice artical putting the govt in the same boat as the ltte in regards to their callous disregard of civillians.

That's as stupid as saying we haven't proved 9/11 was done by Al Qaeda. Anyone who put Sri Lanka and LTTE in the same boat is a poor victim of the LTTE propaganda or has falled of the liberal edge. Sure it is cool to support an underdog or a radical group calling them selves LTTE but think on hard facts. SL doesn't gain anything out of being violent. They are the government. They win if there is stability and order. On the other hand what does LTTE gain without violence? What are they doing to do in a land of peace and tranquility? What is Prabhakaran going to do? Farm?

Yes government side has done wrong. But remember none of them are direct orders from its leadership. Can you imagine is we lived in a country where Mahinda sends out suicide bombers to kill innocent Tamils??????? LTTE does that!! So please try to stay at least within the boundaries of rationality and objectivity.

you are yet another victim of LTTE false propaganda. If you didnt know, they have a large list of people acting from all over the world promoting their false propaganda.

If you do not support them, you will be killed. Look at all the leading figures they killed. Including Rajive Gandhi. You know who he is right? If you didn't, he was the former Indian prime minister who was assassinated by the LTTE as Mr. Gandhi was trying to stop the terrorist acts conducted by the LTTE. What about Laxman Kadiragam, once again if you didnt know, he was a leading Tamil in the political area of Sri Lanka, yet again, they killed him since he was against the Terrorist outfit and was stating that Tamils are victims of the hands of the LTTE.

Also you say you didnt know anything in regards to the other killings which was done by the LTTE? So you hardly know anything and the history of Sri Lanka. And you try to support the LTTE or say that the military are in teh same line of the terrorist? Get your facts straight and know what you are dealing with.

That was the most stupid statement you said so far, that you dont know about the other killings etc. and on top of that, you have the audacity to judge the the military without any facts? Looser!

i only said that was Kebitigoellewa Bus bombing out of the listed act was the only one i know enough to comment on because i've read all the media reports of tha one.. with earlier intances, unbiased reporting has reduced to propoganda pieces on both sides.

as for kardigamer's death, again it's a similiar position to Kebitigellewa.. most likely done by ltte, but there's no proof.

this isn't being suckered into ltte propoganda, it's from looking objectively at these cases.

as for Human rights watch being "a poor victim of the LTTE propaganda or has falled of the liberal edge", one of their reports was instrumental in getting the ltte banned in canada.. so to many, they have a high level of credibility (which allows their criticisms of the government to be taken seriously)

It's sad how you brand people who don't fit into your narrow viewpoint about the conflict as LTTE supporters.

(you know the LTTE does a very similiar thing with people who criticise their viewpoints as well...)

Why don't you all take your own advice & broaden your scope to more than just the propoganda that the government shoves down your throats.

We don’t go by the word what any government says, we go by the acts that the TERRORIST have done for the past 20 odd years.

You think the Muslims or the Sinhalese did the suicide bombings recently? how about the attack on the army commander? or assassination of Maj. Gen. Kulatunda? Or Mr. Ranasinghge Premadasa? Mr. Rajive Gandhi etc... oh forgot, you don’t know the History of Sri Lanka or the terrible acts all groups, regardless of been SInhala, Tamil or Muslim has suffered at the hands of the LTTE? You go by someone making a harsh statement. Look at teh statement which was made by the outgoing head of SLMM? The prime Minister of Norway disagree with that statement.

We will post some pictures and articles of acts done by the LTTE in the past year to lankawatch. Hope they publish it.
