LTTE losing support

Having suffered major defeats both militarily and politically the core supporters of the LTTE are said to be deserting their ranks. LTTE is losing their hardcore supporters who have supported the network over the last 20 years or so after the realization that LTTE is not able to achieve any significant victory and the actions of the group which included the murder of hundreds of fellow Tamils has brought only a negative image to the Tamil community and its aspirations. The LTTE has also suffered heavy loses in its international operations when Canada, EU and now Australia took steps to ban the organization recently and enlisted them as terrorists. Who would want to be associated with terrorists these days?
