Public Help Sought To Identify Three-Wheeler Owner in Kollupitiya LTTE Explosion


POLICE AFTER RELEASING the identification foto (see at left) of the suspect wanted in connection with LTTE’s attempted murder of former Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Colombo- 3 seeks public assistance to trace the whereabouts of the suspect, who is also the owner of the three-wheeler used for the explosion.

This person is wanted for questioning in relation to the incident which took place on 14.08.2006 at Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Kollupitiya, Colombo-3 where an attempt was made to assassinate the High Commissioner for Pakistan in Sri Lanka by exploding a remote-controlled bomb, fitted into a blue Bajaj three-wheeler (No WPJX 9328). Explosion killed four Army personnel providing security to the High Commissioner’s convoy. Details of the wanted man are as follows:
