Pakistan to consider any request to ban the LTTE

The Pakistan government says if a request is made by the Sri Lankan government to ban the LTTE, it can respond to such a call.

Secretary to the Pakistani Interior Ministry Kamal Shah told a Sri Lankan media delegation in Islamabad that Pakistan respected the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sri Lanka.
It is prepared to respond if and when Sri Lanka requires any support in that respect.

He pointed out that the two countries have a military cooperation programme. Pakistan condemns terrorism in all forms and manifestations.
