SLMM – Once again Bias statements without solid facts

Who killed the 17 Aid Workers in Muttur? This is indeed a debatable and very sensitive topic to the people of Sri Lanka as well as the International Community. Nevertheless under what grounds the out going head of SLMM made his accusations against the Sri Lankan Military? What proof/facts has he secured during his investigation? Has the SLMM done a proper investigation, interviewing people in the area, gathered evidence, done DNA analysis etc? What facts have been recovered during this investigation of the SLMM out-going head, Ulf Henricsson? These are few questions that needs to be answered before making your own conclusion or accusing the Military of conducting such act?

On previous reports, it was stated and confirmed by many, that the Muttur area from the 2nd of August to the 5th of August, was under the LTTE control. This has been confirmed by the SLMM during this period. Hence, I would say it makes it much more difficult for the Sri Lankan forces to just walk in and shoot innocent civilians/aid workers under the LTTE command. I am sure, the out-going retired Major General Ulf Henricsson with his military backing should know conducting such task is extremely risky or we could say suicidal.

Another question should be raised here by the Sri Lankan and the international community. Why the out going head of SLMM has not made his own conclusion or accusations on the assassination of Mr. Lakshman Kadiragama, Mr. Logannathan, all civilians who were victims of claymore attacks, Maj.Gen. P. Kulatunga, innocent children who died in the claymore attack near a school (st Pauls, Bambalapitiya), assassination attempt of the Army Commander, Pakistani Ambassador (Diplomat) to name a few… One might wonder why and what motives the out-going head has, to make such statement hours before leaving.

Whenever, the local media states that the SLMM has been bias towards the LTTE no one has taken the matter in to much consideration. However, the time has come my friends to look deeper in to this matter. As you cannot let anyone bias or on the payroll of a Terrorist organization be in the frontline.

Mr. out-going head of SLMM, why not condemn such acts as Child recruitment, assassination attempts of Diplomats, Military commanders etc? Why accuse the legitimate government of Sri Lanka without facts against the Mutture issue?

You getting a million dollars too (1 Million US Dollars), like the way the LTTE tried bribing FBI officials and state government officials in the US? Or you want US$ 500,000 to withdraw your statement like Mr. D. Hair? Why not send an email to the president?

Who does he think he is? “Cause he felt like it” – is that a good enough reason to accuse a government for murder of 17 Aid workers?

What motives does one carry to make such harsh statements against a legitimate military, which defends the civilian population of Sri Lanka from ruthless Terrorist, The LTTE (Proven globally)?

You expect the SLMM to be neutral and impartial in all inquiries? Such an insane statement can lead to no good in the peace process as well as the conduct of the Norwegians.

Yet again, one must wonder if the current team of the SLMM is to be blamed for the escalating violence in the Country? After all, if they were neutral and made accurate judgments, the LTTE would have no room for terrorist acts.

Good article. It doesn't make any sense why Henricsson would make comment he is not even sure about while it is clear the LTTE is responssible for massacre of hundreds of civilians.
