Confident Mahinda invites UN to search the backyard

President Rajapakse has proposed an international commission to investigate the recent killings and disappearances in Sri Lanka. United Nations Special rapporteur on extrajudicial executions, Philip Alston, welcomed the proposal and called it an “important initiative” which will break the vicious cycle of human rights abuses that has plagued the country.
