LTTE child soldiers respond positively to Govt's call

COLOMBO: The LTTE's child soldiers responded positively to the Government's call to surrender themselves to Security Forces. The government issued a special announcement on Sunday to all LTTE child soldiers and cadres to give up terrorism and to surrender to Security Forces and the Police.

The Government assured protection, care and rehabilitation to those who surrender. Measures will be taken to hand over them to their parents after rehabilitation.
