98 LTTE Dead Bodies Recovered From Kilaly Lagoon Area

JAFFNA: REPORTS REACHING COLOMBO indicate that troops have recovered 98 dead bodies of LTTE (Tamil Tiger) terrorists who were killed by troops during confrontations in KILALY, JAFFNA Wednesday (16).

About 30 to 40 LTTE sea tiger boats were destroyed as they reached the KILALY lagoon with LTTE sea tigers.

Latest offensive by LTTE commenced around 6.30 p.m. Wednesday (16) with a heavy volume of direct and indirect fire by the LTTE concentrated on Security Forces Forward Defence Line (FDL) in KILALY but alert troops fought with valour and repulsed the attack.
