How Bias can one be?

How Bias can one be?

I write with great dismay on the statement made by the out-going head of SLMM, Maj. Gen. Ulf Hendrickson. One would think a man of such caliber would act more responsibly to sensitive issues and not be bias or harsh in their statements/judgment.

By making such statement, in the minds of many in Sri Lanka and the International community, it clearly shows that the Nordic countries does support and promote terrorism in Sri Lanka by aiding and helping the LTTE, a banned Terrorist organization in many countries.

One must question the motives of such ridiculous statements without any evidence regardless of the person who has made the statement. Yet again, if compared to many statements made by a Pro-LTTE terrorist website, it does not surprise the general population of Sri Lanka and the international community that such statement was made in the aim of helping the LTTE, the Terrorist organization regain some lost momentum. After all, it is clear that they are loosing many or one could say all battles, both politically motivated as well and militarily. Only attacks the LTTE can do right now, are having some suicide bombers in Colombo and try blow up a few key personnel and buildings. This is something that the great military of the United States cannot stop in places like Iraq etc. But the Sri Lankan military is doing their best to keep things under control as well.

How does one (The LTTE, the terrorist organization) re-group their lost momentum? The best way to re-group would be by making an accusation by a leading figure, known “NOT” to be bias against the government of Sri Lanka and SLA. This would allow the terrorist get more momentum and try to get the community eye towards them, rather than against them.

Nevertheless, it has not worked since the out-going head of SLMM does not have “ANY” solid evidence to place the blame on the government or the security forces. Also it is evident that the statement only aimed at stating faults and accusing the government and the security forces and not the well-know terrorist organization, the LTTE or it's supporters and sympathizers. Many key figures of Sri Lanka and the international community have openly condemn the false and inaccurate statement made by the SLMM head regardless of political and other motivations.

Questions raised by key personnel focused on issues such as, why did the out-going head make all these statements just hours before leaving this great country? Why did the out-going head not focus on the Terrorist organization that was responsible for the murders and assassinations of great leaders of mother Sri Lanka (see below a few, after the ceasefire in 2002)? Why was the organization which was responsible for stopping water to an entire community by destroying their livelihoods etc not condemned?

Some other key assassinations.

1) Hon. Lakshman Kadiragam – assassination
2) Maj. Gen. P. Kulatunga– assassination
3) Mr. Loganathan– assassination
4) Maj. Muthalif - – assassination - Military Intelligence
5) Attempts to assassinate - The Army Commander, Pakistani Ambassador, Leaders of leading Tamil parties
6) Child solider recruitment
7) Assassination of civilians etc……

These are just a few terrorist acts that the LTTE has done since the Ceasefire. “The list is endless”. We can get a better idea of all LTTE Violations after the ceasefire on the following military link which states violations by the LTTE. http://www.army.lk/getses.php.

If one talks of the acts and crimes against humanitarian and crimes against this nation, the LTTE is on the top of the list. Yes, there would have been issues going back to the 70’s - 80's in regards to the ethnic conflict. This is indeed a debatable topic. However, as of lately, the only issues that the Tamil community faces today is that the terrorist acts done by the LTTE against the Tamil community. A statement made by a woman who arrived in India last morning states as, “We have had enough, fighting and shooting all the time, I didn’t want my children to be taken away by the LTTE to fight”…

Getting back to the statement made by Ulf, before concluding, Mr. Ulf, why won’t you come out and say that you opening support the LTTE, the Terrorist organization? That would have been more legitimate and believable for the general public, rather than sticking or trying to stab innocent people on their backs!

Government of Sri Lanka, its time you consider the roll that Norway plays in the peace process. Their is enough evidence to state that they are bias and its time that, we focus more on eradicating terrorism that threatens our great nation and its surrounding countries, such as India, Pakistan, Maldives etc....

Help fight terrorism globally my friends!

Nothing new here, we all knew that the SLMM was always bias towards the LTTE. Otherwise, why would the head of the ceasefire monitors balme the government of Sri Lanka for all violations and issues that has happened. It is a known fact that the this is the tactics that the LTTE uses.

Norway, go away, and don’t come back.

Kick norway out. Erik is the biggest terrorist. He is probably the one who put ulf in to saying that.

it has been obvious that they are bias, why the hell do we keep them? It's time to get rid of the virus!

There is inherent racism in any western organization. Norwegians with the help of Ulf Hericsson helped highlight it when if blamed the government for the killing of the Aid workers. I really don't know who killed them and whoever did it is a appaling act but what is interesting is why he would comment on one single event when LTTE has carried out hundreds of killings. I understand it was an Aid agency and so there is more significance in the killing, but also consider such acts of the LTTE as the assassination of Mr. Kadiragamar. An oxford educated, world respect individual. But Norwegians said nothing. Why? Because he didn't work for a french organization!!. Norway cannot carry on as a mediator if they are not fair and balanced and leave out the western racist ideology at home.

very well said and done. norway is trying to destroy sri lanka by their acts.
we should ask them to step out as it has been proven on a regular basis that they are indeed bias towards the terrorist.
