LTTE Bomb targeting Civilians Defused by SLA Bomb disposal unit

We got to thank the Sri Lankan police for their alertness this morning in finding the bomb in Borella which would have saved many lives of Civilians.

The team of alert Police officers after sighting the push bicycle which was placed against a metal railing fence for some time have reached it on suspicion and found that the bicycle was hanging a huge unusual parcel.

Since no one claimed responsibility of the bike, police immediately alerted the Army bomb disposal unit to come and have a look at it after finding a pack inside the carrier with Vegetables. Once the unit arrived it found that it was an IED which could have been sent off by a remote control, since it was about the go off, the unit immediately removed the IED ensuring the safely of the Civilians in the area.

Once again, the LTTE has showed their true colors by trying to kill innocent civilians.
