Kodumbavi Prabhakaran "hung high in Jaffna"

When the heavens fail the farmers with the monsoon showers, they perform a ritual where the Kodumbavi the horrendous sinner is consigned to the fire in the form of a prayer for rains to save their harvest.

The Tamils need to do such a ritual and having identified the "Horrendous Sinner" for their redemption from a terrible evil that had hijacked their lives.

The people of Jaffna expressed their tragic circumstances quite appropriately by performing the Kodumbavi Ceremony and promptly hung an effigy of Prabahakaran no doubt offering their prayers to God to safe them from this evil.
