Rajapaksa says Prabhakaran has extended hand of friendship

Nov 28 (HT) The LTTE chief Velupillai Prabhakaran had extended a hand of friendship in his Heroes' Day oration on Sunday, says President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Speaking to Heads of Diplomatic Missions on Monday, Rajapaksa said that he was pleased that Prabhakaran had described his approach to the peace process as "pragmatic" and said that he saw this as extending a hand of friendship.
