Shooting violated ceasefire - SLMM
Feb 25 (BBC) The ceasefire monitors in Sri Lanka say, shooting of a Sri Lankan soldier by the Tamil Tigers was a clear violation of the cease-fire agreement. A spokeswoman of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission also said that it was not yet apparent who was fully responsible for the incident.
"However, it is not thought this will upset the ongoing peace process", said the spokeswoman Helen Olafsdottir.
The Norwegian monitoring mission in Sri Lanka is currently investigating the killing of the soldier before making a ruling.
