GoSL creates more Racial Tension

Once again the government is forcing the Colombo Tamils to register their presence in Colombo. Such act is offensive to the community and in racial relations, counterproductive. This will not in anyway solve the violence that has become endemic in the capital, and elsewhere too.”

Such discriminative acts only create more racial tension in the Country. Never in the history of the country has one been asked to register by their ethnic, religious, political or any other identity.

May be, the government has an ulterior motive here, something entertained by the racial and religious bigots of the country and that is to make Sri Lanka the country of the Sinhalese people only as stated by the Army Commander, Lt. Gen. Sarath Fonseka!
