Janaka turns down Govt. picked security
UNP chief ministerial candidate for the North-Central provincial council elections Maj.Gen.(rtd) Janaka Perera has refused to accept the 8 government appointed security personnel for his personal safety. Maj.Gen Janaka insists that he be allowed to pick the eight personnel as he could not trust those appointed by the defence ministry.

This is a good man, but for some reason, he has not had a share of the deal. This is mainly due to political standings.
