A video clip on youtube.com shows an embedded reporter from Al Jazeera, Tony Birtley, dodging bullets along with the Sri Lankan Army soldiers. The clip shows the professionalism of the SL army personnel and the barbarism of the LTTE who hides behind stolen rice sacks that was meant for Tsunami victims.

No, it looks real. Wonder how foreign journos get in while the locals claim the GoSL won't let 'em.
Parts of it is from a training exercise. The restt is actual battle field. I commend the troops for staying professional and disciplined despite facing a ruthless and barbaric enemy.
As the local jornos make it a political issue end of the day. This is why the country is facing these issues. Whenever another government comes to power, the people who dont like the government do everything in their power to discredit the government in all means possible!!! This is the main issue terrorism has gone so far in Sri Lanka.
May be the government should stop appointing all their brothers to ministerial positions and closing down anti-government newspapers and arresting opponents. Then the local media will stop making political issues out of this.

By reading the articles of Lanka watch, we the civilised tamil community feel that it caters to the typical Sinhala propaganda which aims at destorying the great tamil community of Island of Eelam (formaly known as Sri Lanka).
Tamils are the first to lay their feet on this land and its time the Sinhalese accept it!!!
