Thousands On The Verge Of Starving At Madhu Areas

MADHU: LTTE’S CONTINUING OBDURACY and inhuman nature has left over thirty thousand Catholic devotees to starve in and around un-cleared areas surrounding the most sacred MARANDA MADHU church, off MADHU junction on MANNAR-MEDAWACHCHIYA road after LTTE (Tamil Tigers) have prevented them from departing towards the South, sources confirmed.

An equal number of pilgrims proceeding towards the MADHU church to attend the annual feast, scheduled for today (15) also remain stranded near the LTTE Entry/Exit point at the entry to MADHU premises, since terrorists have closed down the entrance for reasons best known only to them.
