An LTTE Attack successfully repulsed- Mannar

The LTTE terrorists had made an untiring effort to enter the security zone at Yodawewa in Mannar , unleashing an attack on the Forward Defence Line since the midnight on Monday the 14th of August.

The Special Task Force (STF) personnel along with the police personnel retaliated killing at least five LTTE terrorists and injuring many more. The fire fight lasted till 5.00.a.m in last morning (Tuesday the 15th of August).
