Who is responsible for the death of children?

Conspiracy theories are abundant in the wake of the SLAF bombing that killed number of children in a location near Mulativu. Credibility of the pro-tiger web site TamilNet has been questioned repeatedly and the general consensus has been that the children were in fact child soldiers. I agree with a previous posting that whoever they may have been it is pathetic that we have become a society that accepts the death of children as collateral damage. These are innocent victims of a war who have nothing to do with it regardless whether they were forcefully conscripted or they were merely students gathered to learn first aid. The fact is they were young children! Furthermore, I question the government's adamant denial of these killing while the UN and other independent observers’ have said that there were no indication the location was a LTTE camp. If we only go by independent accounts, TamilNet might have got this one right. If that’s the case someone at the top should be held responsible. Killing innocent children is a war crime! The credibility of the reports from TamilNet and where ever else is irrelevant!
