Arrears paid to paddy farmers in Ampara

PADDY PURCHASING: The Government has decided to pay arrears of Rs.8.2 million for paddy, which has been bought by the Agrarian Services Department last year from farmers in the Ampara district. Farmers in the Ampara district had started a hunger strike due to late payments.
