UNP drafted and adopted 1978 Constitution to rule forever - Speaker

COLOMBO: The 1978 Constitution was drafted and adopted by the UNP with the sole intention of ensuring a UNP rule forever in the country and making Prime Minister J.R. Jayewardene the Executive President of the country, Speaker of the House W.J.M. Lokubandara said.
