Joint Mechanism will destabilize India

A report from the ministry of Home Affairs of India says that western countries are trying to disintegrate South Asian countries by providing terrorist organizations in the region with funds, shelter and material support. If the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka are given the equal status as the government in a Joint Mechanism, they will receive diplomatic recognition and that will not only result in disintegration of Sri Lanka but also destabilize India. Therefore India is opposed to the formation of any kind of Joint Mechanism with Tigers. So said Wimal Weerawansa of the JVP at a meeting held at the Town Hall premises on the theme “No Joint Mechanisms with Tigers, provide relief to all tsunami victims”.
