India to brief Sri Lanka on canal project

May 3 (IANS) India Tuesday agreed to share more information with Sri Lanka on the Sethusamudram canal project that aims to create a shipping channel to the island nation's eastern ports. In a joint statement issued here Tuesday at the end of a four-day visit by Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran, both sides said their bilateral relations were "excellent".
