Chandrika not out of the woods despite donors pledges

President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga went all out to convince the 50 donor countries who met in Kandy yesterday that Sri Lanka deserves the aid promised for recovery and rehabilitation after it was hit by the tsunami on Boxing Day, 2004. To convince the foreign donors and her own partners in her coalition government she revealed some aspects of her proposed Joint Mechanism.
