'Singapore Village' to be launched in Sri Lanka for tsunami victims
April 5 (Channel News Asia) - The Singapore Sinhala Association is trying to put together some S$1 million to launch a Singapore Village project in the south of Sri Lanka to help tsunami victims. The project entails building 75 houses for displaced families around a community hub containing an educational centre, a trade vocational centre and a library.
