Mourning for pope scuttles opposition protest

April 5 (Lanka Business Online) - Sri Lanka's main opposition party Tuesday cancelled an anti-government protest after a day of national mourning was declared for Pope John Paul II. The UNP said the demonstration scheduled for Tuesday evening at a busy intersection in the capital will now be held Wednesday.
