Sri Lanka rebels reject UN report

Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels say there is no truth in a UN report that they have recruited 4,700 child soldiers since 2001.
"We totally reject accusations about recruiting children for war," a rebel leader was quoted as saying.

The denial comes ahead of UN plans to debate next Wednesday a proposal for imposing sanctions against groups using child soldiers.
