Fishermen attack Tamil Tiger office in northern Sri Lanka
A group of fishermen attacked a Tamil Tiger rebel office in Sri Lanka on Friday, demanding the release of three fishermen allegedly abducted by the guerrillas, the military said.
The angry fishermen hurled stones at the rebel office in Mannar, a government-held town about 220 kilometers (135 miles) north of Colombo. They accused the Tigers of abducting three fishermen after shooting at some fishing boats that defied the rebels' orders not to go to sea on Thursday.
