Iran gives $10 mn for Sri Lanka tsunami relief
[Indo-Asian News Service]: Colombo, Feb 18 : Iran has donated $10 million for Sri Lanka's tsunami relief and rehabilitation activities, Xinhua reports.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Moshen Aminzadeh handed a cheque for the amount to President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga Thursday, the official Daily News reported Friday.
Aminzadeh expressed his deep sympathy for the victims of the Dec 26 tsunami. He said his government wanted to extend full cooperation to Sri Lanka in its rebuilding effort.
