LTTE Attacks Merchant Ship Carrying Supplies to Civilians

TamilNet incorrectly reports the MV Nimalawa was sunk

LTTE suicide bombers carried out a seaborne attack on merchant ships carrying supplies to civilians in the north. The attack has damaged to vessels the MV Ruhunuwa and MV Nimalawa outside the Kankasanthurai habor in Jaffna. Although the TamilNet reported that one of the ships were sunk, reliable sources have said the two ships only sustained damages. The attack was said to have been carried out by the deputy commander of the Sea Tiger's wing - an indication of depleting ranks among the black tigers.

The Sri Lankan Navy has managed to destroy two suicide boats and recovered one boat that was involved in the attack.

Sri Lankan government and non-governmental organization has repeatedly called on the LTTE to refrain from attacking civlians entities.

This was for the Military, not the Civilians! Hence, our heros attacked the ship.

GOSL will not send any food to the suffering civilians but claims they care for the Tamil community! Such hypocrites.
