LTTE bomb targets Pakistan High Commissioner- Colombo


The LTTE exploded a bomb targeting the Pakistan High Commissioner for Sri Lanka at Kollupitiya at 1.15 p.m today Monday the 14th of August.

The explosion occurred 25m away from the Liberty Plaza shopping complex at Kollupitiya whilst the High Commissioner was traveling on the Ananda Kumarswami mawatha.
It is believed that the bomb was fixed inside a three-wheeler parked near by. This three-wheeler was completely destroyed in the blast.

The LTTE missed their target once again since the high commissioner's vehicle narrowly escaped the explosion. However, the explosion made heavy damages to the vehicles of the security escort of the high commissioner.
