Sri Lanka to restructure power sector

The final draft Bill in respect of the restructuring of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), which was earlier shelved due to opposition from the Marxist ally of the coalition government, is to be presented for Cabinet approval shortly. Power and Energy Minister, Susil Premajayantha said that the discussions with the trade union were progressing well and the draft bill is being finalized.
