Anura Bandaranaike appeals to JVP not to leave the government

Tourism Minister Anura Bandaranaike appealed to the coalition government partner Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) not to leave the government over the differences on the proposed joint mechanism with the Tamil rebels. "The JVP has a right to vote against this proposal. But at this moment, if they wanted to topple the Government, it is a great betrayal against the people in this country," Bandaranaike said.
