Scandinavian monitors retract: SLMM accused of attempts to defend Tiger air power

Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) made a belated attempt to white wash the Tamil militants, two days after warning about the dangers of air assets of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). In a press release, the SLMM deplored what it called ‘the use of sensationalist media to fuel the current fragile situation in the east’.
