Joint Mechanism 'to be dissolved in a year'

May 4 (BBC) The president has assured religious leaders that the proposed Joint Mechanism (JoMec) with the LTTE to reconstruct the tsunami affected northeast will not lead to the separation of the country.

A media release from the Presidents Office on Wednesday stated that, "she is confident working with the LTTE on tsunami reconstruction will provide a foundation to further our peace efforts."
