Irate civilians chase away LTTE mob injuring a senior LTTE leader

March 29, (LankaPage) Colombo: Irate civilians in the tsunami welfare center at Thirukkovil in Ampara have attacked a group of LTTE cadres yesterday morning, when LTTE cadres tried to abduct a child from the welfare center. Military spokesman Brigadier Daya Ratnayake said that initially four LTTE cadres came to the welfare center and tried to abduct the child despite the parents' protest. However when STF personnel on duty arrived, LTTE cadres have fled the scene.
