UN's Bermio Puts himself in Hot water

(TLA) Domnique De Melo in Colombo, SLT 1.00 P.M Wednesday 16 February 2005. United Nations Resident Representative, Miguel Bermio who informed the JHU delegation that he was unaware about the statement issued by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the killing of LTTE member Kauslayan, seem to be in hot water. JHU and other political sources said that though Bermio pleaded innocence they believed that the UN head was behind the advice given to his boss and the statement was issued thereafter.
