Director of National Schools removed

Feb 16, Colombo: The Director of National Schools, N.K. Dharmasena, was removed yesterday following charges of irregular admissions to leading schools.

Education Secretary Tara de Mel removed Mr. Dharmasena following allegations by the Presidential Investigation Unit that he had unlawfully endorsed six Grade 1 admissions to a leading national school in Colombo.
