Gunshot provoked attack on Johnpulle’s home: Dullas

Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said that UPFA supporters attacked UNP campaign manager Raja Johnpulle’s Anuradhapura residence only after gunfire directed from his residence caused serious injuries to a government supporter.

The minister accused a section of the media of omitting this fact when they reported what it categorized an unprovoked attack. He said the government supporter had received multiple injuries and was lying in a critical condition.

Government supporters had set fire to the house causing massive damages which the opposition said was yet to be estimated.
