Army takes devotees to Madhu shrine
Sri Lankan Army arranged for hundreds of devotees to attend yesterday’s Holy Mass at the shrine of Our Lady of Madhu. According to military sources, over 500 devotees have been taken by the military for the holy mass, including women and children. The army also provided the devotees with adequate transport from Medawachchiya and other facilities such as security, lunch and refreshment.
Fridays event drew more than 530 devotees including Ministers Milroy Fernando, Deputy Ministers Neomal Perera, Sarath Kumara Ekanayake, UNP MP Jayalath Jayawardena and several senior state officials.
